Our fleet of pilot boats are built primarily with skin cooling systems and locally-reinforced hulls that allow us driving in thin fast ice or slurry ice. If the ice gets thicker, our tugboat "Bock" will be used. This tug runs through up to 20 cm of broken ice and can also be used in the briny bodies of waters referred to as "Bodden", or around the Rügen island and the Achterwasser lagoon. Stationed in Barhöft, we are happy to keep the above-mentioned waterways free of ice or to provide you with the transport services through ice as required.
